Wood Pellet as excellent alternative for renewable energy source

National Action Plan on Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHG Emission) which stipulated by the Presidential Decree No. 61 of 2011 determine the aim of Indonesia to decrease the GHG Emission up to 26% by year 2030.

Following the ratification of Paris Agreement, Indonesia has set a new objective of the reduction up to 29% by year 2030.

In order to achieve national goal in GHG Emission is to alter the utilization of fossil fuel to renewable energy. The excellent alternative for the source of renewable energy is Wood Pellet which consider more environmentally friendly. The participation from all stakeholders in the country is required for the reduction.

The government owned company including PTPN-8 as one of the stakeholders has to follow the guideline for the action which also known as RencanaAksi Nasional Penurunan Emisi Gas Rumah Kaca (RAN-GRK)

Market Demand

The implementation of RAN-GRK in PTPN-8 is by utilization of WP for the Heat Exchanger Machine on the drying process of the Tea Leaf.
